Cauliflower

It has a high nutritional value and its consumption can protect from a variety of heart diseases, as well as from cancer. Cauliflower is said to originate from wild cabbages that thrived in Asia. It belongs in the same category of vegetables as the broccoli, the Brussel sprout, and the cabbage, and has various sizes, from diameters ranging from 15 centimeters to 12 centimeters. It has many concentrated buds of white color, because of their being protected with thick green leaves that don’t allow the sun’s light to reach it, and to create chlorophyll. The part of the vegetable that’s edible is the flower itself, which is consumed in various ways – pickled, raw, boiled, steamed, etc. Raw, it has the highest nutritional value. It has 20 calories per 100 gr of cauliflower.
